We started our digital label in March of 2009 following principles of the open-source and copyleft movements. Unlike traditional labels, Subdrive artists are able to sell the stems, or parts, to their songs and receive a generous amount of the profits from the sales of the stems as well as their songs.

Like many music lovers, bloggers, musicians, and DJs, we understand that the music industry has changed and that the old business models no longer apply. That is why we are determined to create new opportunities for musicians and creatives to reach audiences and still see some success from it.
