About

Subdrive is a podcast, blog, digital label, creative studio, all rolled into one tasty easy to digest package.

In short, we’re what ad people like to call new media content creators.

In 2005, Subdrive started as a radio show, and by necessity, a podcast, at Pratt Institute by then student Ricardo Galbis, focused on the best in underground electronic music. In late 2006 the show expanded to a 1 hour slot with a focus on DJ mixes including residents (then students) Lazaro Casanova, Tony Jasper, and Eric Wrenn.

Subdrive is one of the first underground electronic music podcasts to hit the internet. It was one of the first accepted into iTunes when the Podcast section was opened and continues to feature new and innovative artists from around the world.
